We've all heard someone say "back in my day cycling was way harder, there weren't helmets or proper nutrition, and we didn't ride aero bikes as light as a feather, we used steel, and steel is real!" They riding it in completely vintage kit, was cycling harder "back in my day", and if so, just how much harder was it?
